A collection of iconic moment from live shows captured in 2016-2022
‘1st Three No Flash’ is a photography book collecting over 90 images captured across seven years of live music—from sweaty club nights to major festival stages. It features today’s generation of top-performing artists such as Stormzy, Nick Cave, Patti Smith, The Rolling Stones, Florence + the Machine, The Chemical Brothers, and more.
This project is a personal tribute to the live experience and the evolving discipline of music photography. It marks a milestone in my career—a reflection on years spent navigating the pit, chasing moments under pressure, and learning when to break the rules. Designed, produced and self-published independently, the book was printed in collaboration with ExWhyZed and features fully approved photographs from every artist included.
More than a collection - it was a personal mission.
From sequencing and layout to typography and print production, every element of ‘1st Three No Flash’ was independently crafted to stay true to the energy and chaos of live performance. It reflects both the tension of working under strict rules and the creative freedom found in spaces where no rules apply.
